Another Elegant Night Success

Thanks to all who made our 2025 annual Elegant Night gala a resounding success! The evening began with a cocktail hour, where community leaders mingled while dinner was prepared at the DoubleTree Hotel in Greeley. Later in the evening, we played a fun game of Heads or Tails, and heard a performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by members of our Monfort Clubhouse.

Every year at Elegant Night, we select an individual, couple, team of people, corporate partner, of organization who has demonstrated extraordinary or sustained impact on the success of Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County. This year, we were excited to present the 2025 Champion of Youth Award to The Weld Trust. Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County is fortunate to have been the reciepent of The Weld Trust's generosity and support, and most notably, we had the honor of being the first recipient of their Flagship Grant program. The Weld Trust's capital support for the construction of the Greeley Teen Center was instrumental in the success of that capital campaign. Equally impressive is The Weld Trust's commitment to Weld County at large, and their impact within our community. Our thanks to The Weld Trust for all their support!

This year's Elegant Night was special as we not only honored The Weld Trust as our 2025 Champion of Youth, but we also presented a new award, The John Haefeli Heart & Hands Award to none other than John Haefeli, this year's recipient. The John Haefeli Heart & Hands Award will always recognize an individual who emdodies a big heart and helping hands, celebrating the balance between care and action. The recipient doesn't just feel empathy, they do something about it. John Haefeli embodied the spirit of this new award during his life as one of our most loyal supporters and impactful community advocates. John was a fierce believer in those at the core of our mission: young people. We’re also proud to say, he was a Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County alumnus. Thank you John. We promise to carry forward how you led, loved, and served—and do so in a manner that you literally wore on your sleeve—with grace, strength, and dignity.

Moving forward, Elegant Night will recognize not only our Champion of Youth but also The John Haefeli Heart & Hands award.

We also heard from our 2024 Youth of the Year, Jesse, who gave a speech about the positive impact that Club has had on his life and his future. Jesse comes from a single parent home, and he credits his positive experience in Club for his success as he eyes high school graduation and then college in his near future.

To close the night, we asked audience members to raise their paddles and pledge their support for Club members and invest in great futures for those youth. We are thrilled to announce that we raised over $440,000 through paddle raises, sponsorships, silent auction bids, and fun games!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and supported our event, as well as to those who couldn’t make it but donated, and to all our sponsors and in-kind sponsors. This achievement was only possible because of you! We can't wait to see you all next year!
